Liquor Scam Case: Supreme Court Grants Bail to Arvind Kejriwal After 156 Days in Jail

After all, for what reason did the Supreme Court grant bail to Arvind Kejriwal:

Arvind Kejriwal Bail: Arvind Kejriwal was in jail for the last few months in the liquor scam case. After about 5 months, he was finally granted bail by the Supreme Court, the bench of Justice Surya Kant and Ujjwal Bhuiya gave this decision on 13 September.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal came out of jail on Friday after spending 156 days in jail in the alleged liquor scam case. When CM Kejriwal came out of jail on Friday evening, Kejriwal was welcomed loudly with drums and fireworks outside Tihar Jail.

But the question that is still running in the minds of the public is on what basis has he been released, so let us tell you.

On what basis did Kejriwal get bail?

The Supreme Court said that we have considered bail. The issue is of freedom. We feel that the outcome of this case is unlikely to come out soon. The apprehensions of the prosecution regarding tampering with evidence and witnesses were considered. They are rejected. We conclude that the appellant should be granted bail.

At the same time, Justice Bhuiyan said that CBI should remove the impression that he is a caged parrot, it should show that he is not a caged parrot. CBI cannot justify the arrest and detention of Kejriwal by citing his non-cooperation in the investigation. When bail has been granted in the ED case then keeping him in custody would not be right from the point of view of justice.

After ED, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has also got bail from the Supreme Court in the CBI case. He has come out of jail. However, the court has legalized the CBI arrest and set the bail conditions. The court has imposed the same conditions for bail as it had imposed while granting bail in the ED case. Kejriwal will have to come out and follow those conditions. It is believed that due to the conditions of release, Kejriwal's troubles have not reduced. He may have to face difficulty in running the government. At present, party leaders and workers are happy with Kejriwal's release and there is an atmosphere of celebration from Tihar to his residence. Celebrations are being held from CM residence to the party office. Know the meaning of Kejriwal's release in seven points.

Actually, Kejriwal is also embroiled in a money laundering case related to Delhi's alleged liquor scam. ED sent 9 summons to Kejriwal from November 2023 to March 2024. But he did not participate in the interrogation. After that ED arrested Kejriwal on 21 March. After 10 days of interrogation, Kejriwal was sent to Tihar Jail on 1 April. Meanwhile, on June 26, CBI arrested Kejriwal. Later on July 12, Kejriwal got bail in the ED case, but could not be released from jail due to CBI arrest. Aam Aadmi Party is continuously claiming that BJP has implicated Kejriwal as part of a political conspiracy. At the same time, BJP is saying that if the tree is sown from the acacia tree then where will the mangoes come from.

What conditions will Kejriwal have to follow?

  • After coming out of jail, Kejriwal will not be able to sign any file. Unless it is necessary to do so.
  • There will be a ban on even going to Kejriwal's office. They will neither be able to go to the Chief Minister's office nor the Secretariat.
  • Kejriwal cannot make any statement or comment in this matter.
  • Can't have any kind of conversation with any witness.
  • Can't ask for any official file related to this case. Can't see.
  • Will appear in the trial court if needed and cooperate in the investigation.
  •  Bed bond of Rs 10 lakh will have to be paid
